UDHAMPUR: Govt College for Women (GCW) Udhampur outplayed Army Public School (APS) in exhibition volleyball match for girls organized by Volleyball Association of District Udhampur under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council at APS ground, here on Monday.
GCW Udh beat APS girls team by straight 2-0 (25-19, 25-15) sets.
The match was organized as a part of of 76th Independence Day celebration under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and My Youth My Pride initiative of Government.
The match was played under the supervision of Ashok Padha, President VADU and his team.
Earlier, the match inaugurated by Sanjeev Kumar, Principal APS Udhampur and Mintu Jaswal ex-national player of volleyball. Manjeet Singh Physical Teacher APS was also present. The match was officiated by Anshu Khanna, Deepmala and Amit Sharma PET.
Match played under the overall supervision of Gurmeet Singh PET APS Udhampur.
