CARDC New Delhi commemorates unsung heroes of freedom movement

KATHUA: A programme was organised under the banner of Krantiteerth which is a campaign of commemorating Unsung Heroes of Freedom Movement to be organized under the direction of Ministry of Culture, Government of India and aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The programme was organized by Centre for Advanced Research on Development and Change (CARDC), New Delhi in collaboration with Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, High School, Hiranagar, Kathua.
In this programme families of Unsung Heroes of Hiranagar were honoured who served in the Indian National Army for the freedom of India. Total thirteen such family members of unsung heroes attended the function. The Chief-Guest of the function Shakti Kumar Pathak, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, J&K Police honoured the family members of the unsung heroes.
The main speaker of the programme, Dr. Sindhu Kapoor argued that all these heroes and incidents remained missing in the history books and literature which is very fortunate. She also mentioned the important role of brave of Dogras in maintaining the integrity of India.
Students of the BVM School, Hiranagar gave mesmerizing patriotic cultural performances. The Ex-MLA Kuldeep Raj and Ex-MLC and Chairman, M/C Hiranagar and other prominent citizens of Hiranagar attended the programme. President Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Romesh Singh presented a vote of thanks. The President Ved Bhushan, BSS Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh chaired the programme.
