Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad demands to open “Wrestling Academy” in Budhal

RAJOURI: Retired Brigadier Balbir Singh Sambyal, President of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, (ABPSSP) on Tuesday demanded the Union Territory Administration and the Central Government to open a wrestling academy in the remote area of Budhal in Rajouri district.
Brigadier Balbir raised the issue while addressing ex-servicemen meetings at Kotranka and Budhal during his visit to Rajouri district. He also honored local ex-serviceman Mohammad Ayub on behalf of the Parishad.
Brig Balbir lauded the contribution of the people of Budhal and Kotranka for the security of the country on the occasion.
He said that every good wrestler in the army is from this region, so if the government opens a “wrestling academy” in this region, the wrestlers will bring glory to our country.
He said that he is elated that the heart of ex-servicemen living in Kotranka and Budhal still beats for the country.
Col VS Mangotra and Col Sukhveer Mankotia were also present on the occasion besides a large number of ex-servicemen.
Subedar Mohammad Ayub, while addressing the meetings, said that the ex-servicemen of this region are most patriotic and loyal towards the country even after retirement from the army.
Capt Raj Singh lauded the unity among ex-servicemen and urged all to remain united so that we can do more welfare to the needy.
Captain Risal Singh, State Treasurer of Parishad, advised educating everyone about the evils of drugs to ensure a healthy society.
Earlier, the meetings organized by Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad at Kotranka and Budhal were started by observing two minutes silence to pay homage to the brave heroes who laid down their lives while protecting the motherland.
Later in the end meeting was concluded with the singing of the National Anthem and the proclamation of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
