Wandering foreign body in tracheobronchial tree removed in GMC, Jammu

A 12 year old female who accidentally ingested a needle that went into the trachea and right bronchus. Patient was referred to GMC Jammu where Bronchoscopy removal was attempted but however, the foreign body eluded the bronchoscopic graspers and got lodged in Tertiary bronchi.
A team of CTVS & CTVA ably backed by the head of department of blood bank successfully removed the needle safely from the bronchial tract thus saving the patient from any catastrophy caused by wandering needle. Principal & Dean Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma congratulated the team for saving the life of the Child and said that the Deptt CTVS & CTVA are doing a commendable job.
Dr Arvind Kohli, Dr Mohit Arora, Prof Dr Puja Vimesh, Dr Vikas Gupta, Dr Gaurav Yadav and all supporting paramedics conducted the procedure.
