MAHORE: Prominent Social Activist and political figure of Mahore, Advocate Mohd Sarvar Mir has demanded immediate rehabilitation of the people dislocated due to rain flood and disbursement of the compensatory relief for the victims at the earliest.
After conducting thorough tour of the area and taking stock of problems of the entire area Mir said “the entire area of Mahore Sub Division is hilly where the entire population of the area has suffered huge loss to their houses, livestocks and other infrastructure. Hundreds of the houses are damaged, people are rendered house less, all the life lines and amenities of life like, road, electricity, transportation, water etc. have been badly hit and curtailed. Crops are damaged completely and fields are washed away. Despite all these problems being faced by the public requisite steps have not been taken by the Govt. to ensure the rehabilitation of the flood victims and if there is any same is not sufficient to meet the circumstances which is highly condemnable”.
Mir further said if Centre Govt. has announced the relief rehabilitation package same is required to be disbursed quickly among the victims so that they may get sigh of relief in this critical situation. Mir also demanded special package of compensation for the farmers adding that the entire population of Mahore Sub-Division depends on local agriculture and the rain has damaged the seasonal maize crop badly and the fields have been washed away.
