PoJK Visathapit Sewa Samiti expresses gratitude to PM, HM, LG Sinha for fulfilling demands

JAMMU: POJK Visathapit Sewa Samiti President Dr. Deepak Kapoor extended thanks to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Home Minister, Amit Shah and LG of UT of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha for extending the period of disbursement of financial assistance of Rs 5.50 lakh to the displaced families of POJK and Chhamb areas.
“POJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti has been demanding for the extension of the aforesaid scheme since it’s closure and requested the Centre Government and LG of UT of J&K through representations from time to time,” Dr. Deepak Kapoor said in a press conference here on Thursday.
At the inaugural of LG’s Special Governance Camp at Bhour camp on March 6, Kapoor said, Samiti again requested LG who assured to take up this matter with centre.
Finally this demand has been fulfilled, he said adding that the scheme has been renewed for a period of one year upto March 31, 2024 that expired on March 31, 2023. POJK Sewa Samiti also appealed to the left out families to apply at the earliest to get the benefit.
