J&K IMPARD hosts Training Programme for Prosecuting Officers (G)

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development (J&K IMPARD) hosted a inauguration event for the training programme for newly-appointed Prosecuting Officers (G), sponsored by the Home Department, UT of J&K.
The event was attended by Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, UT of J&K, as the Chief Guest, and Deepak Kumar, Director General Prosecution, as the Guest of Honour, who imparted their insights and knowledge.
Under the guidance of Bipul Pathak, Director General, J&K IMPARD, the training programme was devised with finesse.
It is noteworthy that this training programme has been introduced for the first time at J&K IMPARD, making it a unique and exciting endeavour for the institution.
In representation of Pathak, Priyanka Bhat, Joint Director, welcomed the guests and delivered an opening address.
Darshan Lal Loach, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, J&K IMPARD, was also present.
Goyal imparted his insights and knowledge to the trainees. He highlighted the pressing need for top-notch officers in the country’s legal system and praised the trainees for their selection in this prestigious programme through a rigorous selection process.
Deepak Kumar also addressed the trainees with a message of congratulations, emphasizing the significance of studying recent court judgments to glean insights into the inner workings of the judicial system of the country.
The event concluded with the chief guests being presented with mementos and a vote of thanks from Dr Neena Bhalla, the course coordinator.
The ceremony was handled by Dr Jyoti Sadhu, Research Officer, J&K IMPARD and the course coordinator Dr Neena Bhalla.
The first day featured a stimulating ‘Group Formulation Activity’ followed by a thought-provoking lecture from the Aseem Sawhney, Ex Additional Advocate General, High Court, J&K, on the topic of “Administrative Set-up of the Government.”
He elucidated the hierarchical structure of the government and judiciary and explained the inner workings of the system. Through various case studies, he illustrated the qualities of an exceptional prosecuting officer, leaving the trainees inspired and enlightened.
The training programme aims to equip the newly-appointed Prosecuting Officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. The event proved to be a grand success, and we are optimistic that the programme will empower the trainees to make a meaningful impact in their roles.
