JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In a message the Lt Governor said that Lord Ram is the embodiment of righteousness, compassion, justice and high moral values.
May the auspicious festival of Ram Navami strengthen our faith in the goodness of mankind, inspire all of us to rededicate ourselves to the cause of selfless service and usher in happiness, prosperity and well being of all, said the Lt Governor.
Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta and Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar also extended greetings to the people of J&K on the eve of Ram Navami. Dr Mehta in his message said that Ram Navami, the birth day of Lord Ram, celebrated by the people of the nation with deep religious sentiment and fervor. He stated that Lord Ram is worshipped as the epitome of virtues and embodiment of righteousness and morality.
In his message, Advisor Bhatnagar remarked that this sacred festival marks the celebration of Lord Ram’s life of righteousness and truth.
He added that on this great occasion we all need to spread Lord Ram’s noble message of righteous conduct and renew our commitment to his ideals.
