KATHUA: Police on Friday nabbed a drug peddler and recovered 7 gm heroin from his possession.
As per the details, a team of Anti-Drug Unit Kathua and personnel of Police Station Rajbagh established a checking Naka on road leading to Haria Chak and stopped a suspicious pedestrian for checking but aforesaid person tried to escape. Later he was caught after hectic efforts by the team. During frisking, team recovered 7 gms of heroin like substance and a weighing machine from his possession. The accused, identified as Rana Mohd alias Surmu, son of Hussain, resident of Jugyal tehsil Marheen District Kathua was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 234/2020, under Sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Rajbagh.
