Two drug peddlers nabbed with heroin

RAJOURI: Police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 385 grams of heroin from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Arif, son of Mohammad Ikhlaq Khan, resident of Dabbi Balakote, Poonch and Mohammad Asif, son of Mohammad Khalil, resident of Samattee Challas, Rajouri.
Police said that a team headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri, SI Danish Maqbool and SHO Rajouri Sameer Jillani under supervision of DSP Hqrs Rajouri Vinod Kumar were on routine patrolling in Tandwal Thandikassi area of Rajouri highway, when two pedestrians moving suspiciously were intercepted. During their frisking, 385 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession after which duo were arrested on the spot.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rajouri and further investigation, to unearth linkages of two arrested peddlers, is going on.
