Congress holds protests against New Land Act

UDHAMPUR: Congress workers hold a protest against GoI over new land act being imposed in JK UT and urged Govt to revoke New Land Act to save the people of JK UT.
Congress workers led by Senior Congress Leader Sumeet Magotra held a protest at Salathia Chowk Udhampur and raised slogans against BJP led Govt. Addressing the workers, Magotra expressed that it is unfortunate Union GoI has imposed new land Act in JK UT which is unjustified and anti JK people. He said that GoI eelier had assured the people of state that outsider of state can purchase land in the state only while he/she will produce Domicile Certificate with staying period of minimum 15 years in J&K and now Govt has immediately declared any person of India can purchase land in JK UT. He said that problems of the people of the J&K are increasing day by day, our youths are frustrated due to unemployment.
Magotra asked the people to get ready for a big struggle against unbiased decision of Govt. Others who present were Ganesh Sharma, Sonu Kesari, Jeevan Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Pawan Sharma, Chotu Ram, Ashish Rana, Yogeshwar Sharma, Banti Singh, Balram Singh, Vikas Kumar and Ram Bansal.
