JOURIAN: As a mark of respect to the founder of Red Cross Movement Sir Henry Dunant, an inter school symposium on the topic ‘Red Cross Everywhere for Everyone’ was held at Government Higher Secondary School Jourian under the chairmanship of School Principal Sardar N.P Singh where Headmaster GHS Jourian Sham Lal Shastri was the Guest of Honour. In the programme, 15 students of different school of the adjoining area participated and share their views. Tania of GHS Jourian ,Shallu Sharma of HS Dhok Khalsa and Ritika Sharma of Tiny Aspirant Higher Secondary School Jourian were adjudged first, second and third respectively by the jury members.
Principal sardar N P Singh spoke on the occasion and discussed the life and contribution of Sir Henry Dunant and Red Cross Society in the world.
Sansar Chand, Shakti Prashar and Dr Kamini Rajput were the jury members while Dr Sudarshan Khajuria gave the vote of thanks and Ajay Sharma was the Stage Secretary.
