JAMMU: To promote local sporting talent and engage the youth of Shergwari in a meaningful manner, an Inter-Madrasa Tug of War Competition was organised by army at Shergwari on Monday.
“It was an opportunity provided to the youth to display their sporting skills and strengthen bonhomie and team spirit,” Defence spokesperson said adding that a total of four teams participated in the event.
The matches were conducted on a league-cum-knockut basis and the final match was played between Nagnigarh-A team and Nagnigarh-B team which was won by Nagnigarh-A team.
The winners and runners up were awarded with a trophy each and individual prizes.
