NOWSHERA: Nowshera Bandh entered 45th day on Saturday and people of Hindu, Muslim and Sikh communities took out a rally and staged Dharna exhibiting total unity and confidence of getting District Headquarters at Nowshera at all costs.
Gopal Sharma in his address said that Nowshera people resorted to a peaceful method of agitation including Dharna, hunger strike and Jammu March which was foiled by the administration under a conspiracy. “The administration then used the force and lashed upon the innocent with Lathis and teargas to suppress the agitation but the people are fully determined to continue their non-violent fight against the injustice even at the cost of their lives”, he added.
President Sangharsh Sammiti Subhash Kapoor said they have lost faith in their representatives including MLA and MP because they have preferred their personal interests over the interest and sacrifice of Nowshera people. “Their conscious will not allow them to seek support from the Nowshera people in future”, he maintained.
The people appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to issue suitable directions to the Coalition Government not to do injustice and discrimination with the people of Nowshera.
Prominent among those present include Sanatan Dharam Sabha President Jagdish Chander Sahney, President District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Bhopinder Singh, Sarpanch Paramjit Singh and others.
