Hanuman Jayanti celebrated with religious fervour

BHADARWAH: Like other parts of the country, Hanuman Jayanti was also celebrated across Chenab region on Saturday, in which hundreds of devotees participated.
Leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP), Bajrang Dal and their supporters organised the celebration with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
The people from all walks of life participated in the religious function to pay obeisance to the Lord. At Bhadarwah, the celebration started with traditional Havan and Pooja Archana by religious scholars in the famous Lakshmi Narayan Temple, after which a ‘Jhanki’ (Shoba Yatra) of Lord Hanuman was taken out from the Temple in a fully decorated chariot by the devotees.
According to religious leader, the Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated by devotees across the world to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hanuman ji, the loyalist of the god Ram, which is known as Hanuman Jayanti, it is the day when the Vanara god is believed to have take birth and falls on the 15th day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra( this year on March 31).
Hundreds of devotees participated in the Shoba Yatra (Jhanki) which started from Laxmi Narayan Temple and after passing through Domail, Gatha, Udrana, Radio Station, Kotli, New Bus Stand, Seri Bazaar and Sartingal areas, culminated at Lord Hanuman Temple Nalthi, where devotees after having darshan, came back to Gupt Ganga where community food (langar) was served to the devotees.
The devotees en-route danced to the beat of Drums and recited Bhajans and Kirtans in praise of Lord Hanuman.
According to reports, Hanuman Jayanti was also celebrated in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Batote, Drabshala, Bhallessa, Gandoh, Nagseni, Chinta, Bhalra and Thathri areas of Chenab Valley with full religious fervor and enthusiasm.
SAMBA: Hanuman Jayanti was Celebrated with full religious fervor and gaiety in Samba. The main function held at Hanuman Temple Near SIDCO Chowk Samba in which large number of devotees paid their obeisance to Bhagwan Hanuman. SSP Samba Anil Magotra and Tehsildar Samba R.K Rathore were also present on the occasion and sought a blessing of Lord Hanuman. Gambir Singh Organizer of the programme Said that the two days long function would culminate with a Bhajan Sandhiya at Hanuman Temple near Sidco Chowk Samba, which will be followed by a Bhandara.
UDHAMPUR: Large number of devotees celebrated Hanuman Jayanti with great fervour and fun at Kargil Nahuman Mandir and Shri Radha Krisha Temple. On this occasion at different temples of Hanuman were decorated and devotees perform Puja and Havan.
A large devotees assembled outside premises of Kargil Hanuman Temple to pay obeisance. On the occasion Havan Yagya was organized by the committee where devotees performed Puja Archna. Later Vishal Bhnadra was organised where large number of people took Prashad.
While Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated at Badali, and a function was organized at Shri Radha Krishan Temple at Badali in Udhampur. On this occasion Swami Satish Anand delivered holy sermons and blessed the people. Mandir committee also arranged Langar for people there at.
NOWSHERA: The religious festival of Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervour in Thakurdwara Khoohwala, Nowshera under the aegis of 1008 Mahamandleshwar Mahatma Santosh Dass Moni Ji in which Laddoos were served as Prasad. Later, a birthday cake was also cut amid beating of drums and chanting of hymns by thousands of devotees.
