‘Rs 36 crore used for developing Kalkaji Constituency’

NEW DELHI: “If we have an intention to achieve, then surely we can achieve our goal”, said Harmeet Singh Kalka, Ex-MLA Kalkaji Constituency adding that he has proved the statement by doing the developmental works for his constituency during his short tenure by spending approximately Rs. 36 crore.
Harmeet said, “I have promised the residents of my constituency to redress the issues related to sanitation, water problem, relaying of roads, improving healthcare, construction of BVK, parking facility, etc and almost everything was accomplished in short duration of time.”
Singh added, “We have worked on sanitation and around 300 seats of JSC (toilets) were either constructed, renovated, joined with sewer-line or re-boring done to facilitate various clusters in Kalkaji Constituency, facilitating around 10,000 citizens of the area. Worked on another around 275 seats of JSC (toilets) has either to be constructed, renovated, joined with sewer-line or re-boring to be done has already been approved or started which will further facilitate around 7,500 citizens of the constituency. Besides, we have worked on laying of sewer-line in Navjeevan Camp and also work on extension of this sewer-line has been approved for the same area to reduce the problem of around 500 citizens. A Nallah completed in Sarvoday Camp and approval received for Indira Camp, Sriniwaspuri will help 2,500 citizens.”
“Parking area of 350 cars is being developed opposite Deshbandhu College which will immensely solve the problem of people who frequent the area for shopping,” he added.
Singh informed that CCTV cameras for Kalkaji Market to strengthen women security have been approved and soon will be installed.
Singh added, “We will try to stop the Re-conversion Fee that is being charged for change in land use by traders in Delhi. Since, the traders have been fleeced during the tenure of Congress led Government.”
