Hiranagar murder case: Villagers demand CBI probe, call for Bandh

KATHUA: Strongly advancing their demand for CBI probe, the people of Hiranagar, Kootah Morh, Ghagwal, Chadwal, Dayala Chak and adjoining areas duly supported by various political parties including the ruling party BJP, have given a Bandh Call on March 3, 2018 under the banner of ‘Hindu Ekta Manch’. They said that Dharnas will be staged violating the Section 144 RPC, no shop will be opened and no vehicle will ply on roads including Jammu – Pathankot Highway.
The people have given this Bandh call against the police harassment and torture to the juveniles and youths of Hindu community in the murder case of an 8 years old Bakarwal girl last month and said that deputing an officer of Crime Branch from Valley was under a deep rooted conspiracy to harass the community and force their exodus. Various leaders of BJP and Congress, members of Bar Association have fully supported the Bandh call. Even the cabinet Ministers of BJP party have also criticised the harassment of the people.
Prominent among those supported the Bandh call include BJP District President Prem Nath Dogra, Sarpanch Kant Kumar Sharma, Congress leader Pankaj Sharma, Advocate Vijay Sharma, Advoacte Ajat Shatru Sharma, ex-Bar Association President Arvind Gupta and others.
