BHADARWAH: Atkhar Public School lifted respective boys and girls under-16 titles in the Football Tournament organised by District Youth, Services and Sports Office(DYSSO) Doda under ‘Khelo India’ programme, which concluded at Sports Stadium of Government Degree College Bhadarwah on Wednesday.
In boys under-16 section, Atkhar Public School outplayed High School (HS) Nichlathara while Atkhar Public School also blanked HS Manthla in girls section.
The tournament was organised under the chairmanship of Zonal Sports Officer (ZSO) Bhadarwah Pritam Singh in which 216 players from 18 teams including six girls of Bhadarwah Zone under-3 categories participated.
Aftab Alam, Abdul Haq, Murtaza Qadir, Majid Aslam Wani, Mudassir Maqbol, Tariq Mehmood, Jai Kumar, Rajni Devi, Reeta Devi and Subash Chander played active role to make the tournament successful.
Later, prize distribution function was held in which trophies were presented to winner and runners-up teams.
Others results: BOYS: GHSS Boys Bhadarwah beat HSS Sartingal in under-18 and Blue Ribbon HSS defeated Model Secular HS in under-14 categories.
GIRLS: GHSS Girls Bhadarwah beat HSS Sartingal in under-18 and Saraswati Public School blanked MS Mandir Bhadarwah in under-14 categories.
Gundna Zone: BOYS: HSS Mohalla beat HSS Jatheli in under-18, HSS Jatheli blanked HSS Massari in under-16 and UPS Massari downed Little Angel Public School in under-14 categories.
GIRLS: HSS Mohalla beat HSS Jatheli in under-18, HSS Jatheli trounced UPS Massari in under-16 and UPS Massari defeated Zenith Frontier School in under-14 categories.
