AKHNOOR: Corps Commander of Nagrota Corps on Friday inaugurated four kilometers road stretch near LoC in Pallanwala Sector starting from Zero End and culminating at MC1. The road was constructed by the Akhnoor RCC under project Sampark. This road will be of strategic importance for the defence forces deployed in the forward areas along the LoC as it will facilitate the move of troops and supplies for defence. The work on the road was started in December 2016 and was completed in November 2017 whereas the actual PDC was March 2018. The Corps Commander dedicated this road to the troops of 16 Corps, responsible for guarding the Jammu Sector. The speed and quality of work done by the BRO was appreciated by all the dignitaries present on the occasion. Chief Engineer Project Sampark, Commander 13 BRTF and OC 57 RCC were also present.
