Army imparts awareness on conservation of rivers, wildlife

POONCH: To spread awareness amongst students and local youth regarding importance of rivers and wildlife in maintaining ecological balance, an awareness drive on ‘Conservation of Rivers and Wildlife’ was conducted by the Indian Army at High School, Jhullas in Poonch District on Friday.
During the lecture, the students were informed about the important role which rivers and wildlife play in our life and how to conserve water. The audience were made aware of the problems of water scarcity faced all across the world and were encouraged to save water. They were briefed on various measures that can be implemented to conserve water. The lecture was organised as an interactive session where in students and locals were educated to take positive actions to protect rivers and wildlife.
The audience appreciated the efforts put in by the Indian Army in educating them on social issues that matters immensely for the wellbeing of the future generations.
