JAMMU: To promote the Duggar traditional cultural of J and K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Santhan (BLSKS) celebrated 209th birthday of World Renowned Personality Louis Braille in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu.
The programe was inaugurated by V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Among the Guests of Honour were Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department, Sajjad Poonchi, President All India Cultural Association, Poonch and R.P Amla former Field Publicity Assistant of Directorate of Field Publicity.
Magotra lauded the role of BLSKS in creating awareness on the subject by staging colorful cultural programmes comprising of skits, dances, songs, etc. he urged the artists and cultural organizations to contribute in enriching of the cultural heritage of the country and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation.
The songs which were sung by the artists written by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS while folk songs dances and skits were presented by M.C Kotwal, K.K Joshi, Rajni Gupta, Suraj Singh and Master Kartar Chand. The music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS.
Artists who performed in the programme include Deevam Jandiyal, Deepanshu Wedhera, Vansh Raina, Rahul Mehra, Abhimanyu Kotwal, Ujwal Sharma, Rakshit Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Sonia Pandita, Sakshi Mehra and Bhumika Chib. M.C Kotwal, General Secretary BLSKS presented vote of thanks.
