UDHAMPUR: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) on Tuesday launched district unit of the State Football Academy (SFA) at Subash Stadium, here.
The SFA Udhampur unit was declared open by SSP Udhampur, Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
A total of 60 young boys have been picked up in different age groups for training. Earlier, the trials witnessed a good response with around 250 football enthusiasts turning up to get enrolled.
Now, these boys shall undergo professional and modern training under the technical team of SFA.
Important to mention here that the SFA is headed by star footballer of the State, Mehraj Ud Din Wadoo and Sajid Dar as its Technical Director as also Satpal Singh as Head Coach.
Among others present were Chief Guest Secretary State Sports Council, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, Joint Secretary Sports Council Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma and member Sports Council, Rahul Gupta.
