JAMMU: Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP) Trust under the aegis of Art of Living is going to organise three-day RPL Yoga Instructor programme at NITS Polytechnic, Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu from January 5 to 7, 2018.
Anirudh Gupta and Tejasvi Organisers informed “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will be assessed and certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component of the Scheme. RPL Yoga is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through practice of yoga to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of yoga education. It aims to appreciate prior learning in yoga irrespective of the medium of achieving it.
They further said that the SSRDP Trust as a PMKVY Training Partner has been entrusted the task of conducting Yoga RPL for 100 beneficiaries in the State of J and K for 2017-18. The applications for the Yoga Instructor RPL were invited in the month of October 2017. After screening, 100 candidates were registered who will be now undergoing the three days RPL Yoga Instructor Programme which will be conducted by AOL’s National Yoga Teacher, Tarun Garg.
In addition to the yoga skill certification, candidates will be provisioned with job role specific kit, digital and financial literacy, etc. J and K State will be greatly benefited by having 100 certified yoga instructors with the initiative of AOL SSRDP and more such initiatives will be taken in the service of the people of J&K, said J&K AOL SSRDP Coordinator, Savinder Gupta and Apex Member, Vikram Gujral.
