JAMMU: Seven days winter camp-2017-18 organised by the NSS unit of Government SPMR College of Commerce concluded with the valedictory function held in the college auditorium, here on Tuesday.
Dr. Vishav Raksha, NSS Coordinator, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The function started with the welcome speech by Prof. Rashmi Arya followed by the appraisal words by the Principal Dr. Romesh Chander wherein he congratulated the volunteers on the completion of the camp and their dedication towards the assignments of the camp.
The Chief Guest introduced Prof Jasbir Singh, who has recently been awarded with the Indira Gandhi National Award as a role model for each and every volunteer.
Various cultural programmes in Dogri, Punjabi and Ladakhi dances added feathers to the function. The prizes of different competitions were also given away to the volunteers. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof Mohd Qayoom.
