NYK organises Block Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament Programme

KATHUA: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Kathua organised Block Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament Programme at TCM School Ground, Jarai in which 250 youth both male and female participated from 10 villages.
Ummer Rashied, Dy. SP delivered lecture on the topic ‘Women protection by the law and community’ and educated women about the various laws protecting the women rights to live with dignity.
Murari Lal Mushroom Development Officer from Agriculture Department delivered lecture on scope of income generation and self-employment in Agro based industries. Dr. Ranjoyt Singh from Animal Husbandry delivered lecture on income generation through animal husbandry via dairy farming, poultry farming etc. Aradhana Andotra Ex Sarpanch, in her address appealed to the villagers to actively participate to get the benefits of Govt. schemes and programmes.
Som Datt Zard, DYC, delivered lecture on formation of youth clubs for empowerment of Rural Youth to play active role in youth welfare, social development and eradication of social evils and also promote sports, cultural and social activities at village level. Local youth also expressed their views on various local issues and demanded to check and control drugs abuse and alcohol by the smugglers. Maanu Youth Leader, NYV Nisha, Sharmila, Geeta, organised the programme successfully.
