UDHAMPUR: With an aim to create awareness among the farmers community, Department of Floriculture Udhampur organised a training programme on commercial floriculture at Village Deot of Tehsil Majalta, Udhampur here today.
During training programme, Scientist I/C KVK Reasi, Dr Banarsi Dass and Sanjay Koushal delivered valuable lectures on organic farming and commercial floriculture.
While addressing the farmers, Landscape Officer, Udhampur Sunil Singh, briefed about the overall scenario of Floriculture in district. He urged the farmers to adopt commercial Floriculture to uplift their Socio economic status and enhance their income via farming at large scale. Large number of farmers attended the training programme to learn about the various traits of commercial floriculture.
AFC, Udhampur and other senior officers of concerned department were present during the programme.
