RTO among 3 found absent in Kathua, one suspended

KATHUA, DECEMBER 6: Taking serious note of delinquency among officers towards ‘Prayas’, an endeavor of district administration to directly receive public grievances, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria strictly sought every officer’s presence on Wednesdays at the notified time to make the administration more vibrant and accountable.
Deputy Commissioner solicited explanation from the officers who remained absent today viz. RTO Kathua, Pardeep Manhas; PO ICDS, Rajinder Singh and GM DIC, Rajinder Sharma. Whereas, Training Officer Handicraft, Kathua was suspended with immediate effect.
While inspecting the office of District Program Officer, Integrated Child development Scheme, DC seized the record and also initiated an inquiry against the absentee officers.
DC Kathua further emphasized that ‘Prayas’ has proved instrumental in connecting people especially from remote areas directly with district administration through telephonic calls and redressal of public grievances in a time bound manner.
“It is mandatory for every officer to remain present in this weekly program to resolve people issues proactively besides attending their regular duties”, he maintained.
