KATHUA: To venerate Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary District Congress Committee organised a function at Hiranagar under the leadership of District Congress President and Former MLC Subash Gupta on Wednesday. Subash Gupta along with the other party activists paid floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar by garlanding his picture.
Former MLC in his address termed Dr B R Ambedkar as a visionary and a profound thinker and said his economic thought and vision needed to be appreciated, even though his contribution towards social justice have been recognized. He also highlighted Ambedkar’s vision on women empowerment, federalism, economy and its relevance.
Prominent among others present on the occasion includes Yugal Bali, Yash Pal Singh, KC Bhagat, Ruldu Ram, Tarsem Lal, Parveen Kumar Bhagat, Ramesh Kundal, Sanjay Kumar, Sahil Salaria, Devi Dass, and Kapil Sharma.
