KCIS holds dance workshop

JAMMU: KC International School (KCIS) hosted a dance workshop, involving students from different age groups at the school premises, here. The workshop was conducted in association with Hardeep Dance and Culture Society by DID fame, Mangesh Mondal.
As per a handout issued here on Tuesday, the two-hour session created a lot of zeal among the students.
Earlier, Principal KCIS, Subhendu Sarkar welcomed the guest. Later, Vice Principal, Anupama Sinha, accompanied by Deepashree Raul, Ketan, Hardeep and Activity Co-ordinator, Rajni Malhotra, thanked Mondal for imparting tips to the dance enthusiasts.
She also appreciated the efforts of entire activity staff for their contribution to success of the workshop.
Math Workshop: Meanwhile, KCIS organised a two-day Maths workshop with Dr Jayanti Dasgupta and Prakhar Ghildiyal being resource persons from the Educational Initiatives. The workshop was aimed at those teachers studying Pre Primary to Grade IX students. Those attending to the sessions told that primary teachers need to remember that always there will be a stress on strengthening the basics of Math. This refers to the four fundamental operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Different questions and techniques were discussed to help the teachers improve their question making skills. The workshop concluded with the teachers making an assessment for the examination to come.
Headmistress, Kesar Patel proposed a vote of thanks while Principal, Subhendu Sarkar, stressed on the importance of planning and designing a proper assessment to test the children and help them overcome their misconceptions.
