JAMMU: MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta distributed school uniforms among the students of Government Middle School, Tangey Wali Gali, Kachi Chawni here on Tuesday.
In-charge Principal of the School, Shehnaz Akhtar, ZEO Amrit Kour; Village Education Committee (VEC) members Ratnesh Puri, Karan Singh, Suresh Bharti, Naresh Abrol and Om Abrol accompanied the MLA.
In-charge Principal, Shehnaz Akhtar highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the school and also sought the attention of the visiting MLA towards some infrastructural deficiencies. MLA Rajesh Gupta assured that he would provide funds from his CDF for the development of infrastructure of the school.
Rajesh while speaking on the occasion said children are the assets and we have to equip them with good knowledge, character and moral values so that they can become leaders of tomorrow. He assured that government would provide all adequate resources for the development of the infrastructure of educational institutions.
School teachers Geeta Sharma, Mona Puri, Neetu Bharti and Meenakshi Manhas and BJP leaders Gopal Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Rajkumar, Chaman Lal and Subhash Sanghra were also present.
