Police solves theft case, recovers stolen ornaments

JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested one burglar and recovered stolen gold ornaments from his possession.
According to report, one Gouhar Aslam, son of Mohammad Aslam, resident of Satellite Colony Bathindi, Jammu, on September 4, 2017 lodged a complaint that someone has decamped with gold ornaments from his house.
On this, FIR No 215/2017 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
Today one Ayub Ahmed, son of Shamas Din, resident of Dodla Goti Candyar, Tehsil Bani, district Kathua, at present staying at Teli Basti Bari Brahmana, Samba, during interrogation, admitted his involvement in aforesaid theft case. On his disclosure stolen five golden necklaces and three pairs of ear rings weighing 15 Tolas (150 gms) were recovered from his possession.
