JKPS Kunjwani students visit Manda Zoo

JAMMU: Students of JK Public School (JKPS), Kunjwani, from classes LKG to 1st visited Manda Zoo. The little toddlers’ were thrilled to see different types of animals like barking deer, leopard, peacock, swan, wild bear, sparrows, crocodiles etc. They had a round of all the animal enclosures, saw various wild animals and learnt about their behaviour, conservation status, feeding habits, their up keep, maintenance and health care.
The staff at Zoo interacted with the students and briefed them about the importance of native flora and fauna as well as wild life conservation.
Manda Zoo is a habitat of unique flora and fauna, situated near Hari Niwas, Jammu. Students enjoyed this amazing place. They learnt to love nature and other forms of life. It was a pleasing experience for the students.
The purpose of this visit was to connect the student with wildlife, build their understandings of taking care of the environment and empower them to take action to save wildlife.
