Creating job opportunities Govt’s top priority: Ganga

JAMMU: Creating job opportunity for educated unemployed youth of the State is the top priority of government and reiterated the commitment to make Jammu and Kashmir an industrial hub and tap all possible avenues to create employment opportunities for the State youth.
This was stated by minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga on Sunday after inaugurating a walnut processing unit Vipasana Industries Private Limited and Vida Bakers at Bari Brahmana Jammu.
The minister said that government is committed to provide better business facilities to the industries including 24×7 power, road connectivity and better infrastructure so that the industries can have the conducive environment in the State.
Ganga asserted that the State will have the similar incentives from the centre government as allocated for North East. He said that along with the incentive packages from Central Government, the State Government has also come up with number of policy measures like fiscal incentives, availability of land banks, development of industrial corridors, power availability and ease of doing business to extend a red carpet welcome to the potential investors in the State.
The minister exhorted that government has taken up many initiatives and schemes to promote small scale industries besides other businesses so that most of the educated youth can grab the job opportunities and it will help the Government in resolving the issue of unemployment.
“This unit has the capacity to employ about 100 people and there are many other big industries which will soon start their work here in the state, hence, providing jobs to the hundreds of other youth”, he added.
Managing Director of the Industry Vikas Sharma, Monika Sharma and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
