JAMMU: For the forthcoming Xmas and New Year celebrations, Cygnett Park Asia, Jammu, is planning specialised blended Xmas cake for its customers. In this regard, a cake mixing ceremony was held in the hotel premises.
Lot of prominent personalities and other distinguished guests from electronic media and corporate sector participated in the ceremony along with R J Juhi and Sidharth from 92.7 Big FM.
“The cake will have a great taste and flavour with special spirits, imported Arabic dates, selected nuts like almonds, pistachio, apricots, walnuts, plums, gingers flakes, cashews, dry grapes and assorted dry fruits” said Amit Sood – General Manager of Cygnett Park Asia, Jammu.
“When we go back into the history of Cake-mixing, it says it marked the arrival of the harvest season. During that time a lot of fruits and nuts were harvested before the winter season and these seasonal fruits and nuts used to go into the preparation of the traditional Christmas fruit cake. They used to save up the mix for the coming year as well hoping that it would bring another abundant year. Although the cake mixing ceremony is warming up to the festive holiday season, it does much more than just that. Today, the age-old ceremony of cake mixing is seen more of an occasion for social gathering and pre-celebrations to Christmas which starts a month before Christmas and the winter festivities,” Sood said.
After the cake mixing ceremony light refreshment was provided to the elite who participated in the ceremony.
