HBET launches scholarship distribution carnival

JAMMU: Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) on Friday launched its eight-day scholarship distribution carnival.
Over 500 students of government schools from 55 villages of Jammu region will receive scholarships during the carnival.
A total of 62 children and their parents attended the first day of the scholarship distribution carnival. HBET launched this carnival for distributing scholarships among its existing students as well as for conducting evaluation test of both its existing students and new students.
Dr Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Dr Renu Gupta, Joint Director MIER and Arun Sharma Ex Managing Director J and K Cements Limited were the Guests of Honour. They told the students about the benefits of education and advised them to make full use of scholarship and support of the Trust. They lauded the excellent work being done by the HBET team.
On the ocassion, Bee Enn Hospital conducted free eye check-up and counselling of the parents and students.
