Choudhary urges artists to present good art for future generations

JAMMU: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary on Friday attended a musical concert organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language.

On the occasion, Krishan Lal Premi Jatt, a local singer settled outside the State, presented his performance which left the audience spell bound. He expressed his gratitude to ICCR, J&K Academy of Art Culture and Language for the programme, hoping that more such programs will be arranged so that the new artists get a platform to showcase their talent.

A video prepared by JK Channel on the famous song of Premi Jatt “Loko Migi Taang Sajne Di” was also screened on the occasion. The mementoes and academy publications were also presented to chief guest, singer and other dignitaries on the occasion.

Among others, MLC Sham Lal Bhagat, Chairman, J&K Tribunal, Sarita Chouhan, Managing Director,  J&K Police Housing Corporation,  Danish Rana, Regional Director,  Indian Council for Cultural Relations,  Jammu Balwant Thakur, besides large number of music lovers were present on the occasion.

Earlier, receiving the complaint from inhabitants of locals, the Minister paid surprise visit of Water Supply Scheme Panjari Phase-II Sinki Chhapri of District Samba. The Minister directed to transfer four employees posted at the WSS including Fuman Singh, Rashpal Chand,  Romesh Kumar and Byas Raj. He also asked to maintain hygienic atmosphere in the WSS premises.
