RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today said the district administration will organise a workshop and provide relevant books on revenue and other laws for the field staff of the Revenue Department to equip them with legal knowledge for quick disposal of the cases.

He was speaking in a meeting of SDMs, Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars convened to review the functioning of the department vis-a-vis writing of Jamabandis, inventory of revenue record, removal of encroachments, attestation of mutations, status of land disputes, disbursement of compensation, implementation of PSGA etc.

It was informed that 42 of targeted 66 Jamabandis including eight each in Manjakote and Koteranka, six in Kalakote, five in Thanna Mandi, four each in Darhal and Khawas, three in Qila Darhal and two each in Rajouri and Nowshera are pending. It was decided that all Tehsildars will write and submit pending Jamabandis up to December 31, 2017 besides ensuring completion of pending Khasra Girdawari Registers and inventories of revenue records.

Emphasizing the priority of district administration for timely disposing of SRO-43 cases, the DC directed Tehsildars to hold special camps in their respective Tehsils to inform NOKs of victims of border shelling/militancy related incidents and send their cases up to  December 15, 2017 for cash compensation in lieu of government job.
