Veeri for vibrancy in Revenue Deptt

BARAMULLA: Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Disaster Management Abdul Rehman Veeri on Thursday stressed on bringing vibrancy in the functioning of Revenue Department.
The Minister was speaking at a one-day zonal revenue conference of Revenue Officers of Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara here.
Secretary Revenue Shafiq Ahmed Raina, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmed Khan,Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Nisar Ahmed Naqash, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Sajad Ahmed Ganie and Assistant Commissioner Revenues, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Sub District Magistrates, Tehsildars of these districts were present in the meeting. He said that government is taking various measures to bring vibrancy in the revenue department.
The Minister said that serving people is the top priority of the present dispensation. To ensure people do not face any inconvenience for getting their revenue related issued resolved, the minister asked the officers to ensure the presence of patwaris in their respective halqas.
For better revenue management, the Minister directed for framing of timeline for completion of Jamabandi at Tehsil level. Veeri impressed on the officers to fix the target of Jamabandi to every concerned Revenue official.
The Minister also inaugurated Tehsil Office at Sheeri which was a long pending demand of the area.
The MLA Baramulla Javid Hussain Beigh, MLA Rafiabad Yawar Hussain Mir, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Nisar Ahmed Naqash were also present on the occasion.
Later Minister also inaugurated an ambulance donated by the concerned MLA.
