KATHUA: To provide placement opportunities to the students of Kathua Campus in particular and other colleges and institutes of region in general, the Department of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus organised an internship-cum-placement drive at its campus.
The drive was conducted by S.E.Biz Infotech Pvt. Ltd that is a complete IT solutions provider with expertise in product development, application development, e-learning and Internet marketing solutions under the Udaan project funded by Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Dharamveer Singh, Project Head, S.E.Biz Infotech Pvt. Ltd and Ankush represented the company and conducted the interview process. The selection process from S.E.Biz Infotech Pvt. Ltd included aptitude test and personal interview. Approximately 90 students from the various institutions including Ramnagar Campus, Government Degree College Kathua, Government Degree College for Women Kathua and Government Degree College Hiranagar participated in the drive and eighteen students got placed. Pre-counseling placement session was also conducted for the students to give them exposure regarding soft skills traits for interview.
The whole process was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Naresh Padha, Rector, Kathua Campus.
Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head, Department of Computer Science and IT coordinated the drive.
The faculty members including Amit Sharma, Ajay Lakhnotra, Riti Prakash Singh Katal, Amardeep Sharma and Ankita Kangotra also contributed for the smooth conduct of the placement drive.
