Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations held

REASI: As per the Directives of the Government of India’ and to support the Initiative of Central Vigilance Commission of India, Govt Degree College Dharmari organised a symposium on the topic ‘My Vision: Corruption Free India’ on Thursday in the college campus.
Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Principal of the College was the Chief Guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Chander Mohan Asst. Prof. English presided over the function.
The speakers on the occasion were Jamal Din, Gulshan Akhter, Atta Ur Rehman, Musharraf Hussain, Shehnaz, Shazia, Waseem, Nasreen, Tamkeen Mhmed and Ikhlaq . The faculty of the college present included Prof Khalid Sajad Bohra, Prof Ajay Kumar, Asstt. Prof .EVS, Sham Lal, Asst. Prof Economics, Dr.Sunil Tanoch Asst. Prof. Sociology Dr. Akhter Asst. Prof Urdu, Asst. Prof Political Science, Sat Pal Asst. Prof. English, Altaf Hussain, Asst Prof. Education and Mridhu Mahajan Faculty of Hindi. The participants were given mementoes for participation. Prof Baldev Singh, Asst Prof Political Science conducted the proceedings of the programme.
KATHUA: A vigilance awareness workshop was organised in Govt. Degree College Kathua on the theme ‘My Vision — Corruption Free India’, in which all the employees of the college, teaching and non-teaching participated.
Principal of the College Prof. K.C Badgal in his speech guided the teaching and non-teaching faculty to honestly work for the growth and development of the college.
Prof.P.K Rao in his address talked about anti-corruption measures which can be fruitful for eradicating corruption. Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia talked about simplification and standardisation of rules and processes, use of technology, information technology and automation for prevention from corruption. Prof. Nirmal Naryan, Dr. Sangeeta, Dr. Anita, Prof. Anirudh Sharma, Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Shub Kumar, Prof. Rakesh Singh, Dr. Surya Partap Singh and Prof. Manmohan Singh were also present on this occasion.
RAJOURI: District administration in collaboration with State Vigilance Organisation convened a workshop for Departmental Vigilance Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers on corruption free society.
District Development Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Chief Guest on the occasion impressed upon the Departmental Vigilance Officers to strengthen internal vigilance mechanism in departments and building capacity of staff particularly those dealing with finances, administrative powers and quasi-judicial functions.
SSP Vigilance and senior officers made a detailed Power Point presentation on issues and procedures involved in investigation, measures for prevention of corruption and steps involved in detection of fraud. ADDC A.S Chib presented the keynote address.
RAMBAN: Govt. Degree College Gool (Ramban) celebrated Vigilance Awareness Week in which various activities conducted, include debate competition in which Sajad Ahmed , Shabina Akther, Farheena Akhter, Amreena kouser, Khadim Hussain, Fouzia Kousar and Naziya Allahi participated and presented their views about eradication of corruption and its basic causes.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Principal of the College Prof. Dr. Jugal Kishore Sharma. Nazir Ahmad Bhat Lect. English conducted the stage proceedings and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Arvind Kumar.
UDHAMPUR: A programme in connection with observance of Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme ‘My Vision Corruption Free India’ was organised by UDKR Wing Vigilance Organisation, Jammu in the Conference Hall of Dy. Commissioner, Udhampur. On the occasion Ravinder Kumar Dy. Commissioner, Udhampur was the Chief Guest. The progremme was attended by Subash Dogra ADC, Udhampur, Suram Chand Sharma,General Manager DIC Udhampur, Ashok Kumar Sharma, XEn PHE, Ashok Kumar Verma District Agricultural Officer, Udhampur, Swarana Devi Assistant Professor, Er. Ramesh Kumar of Roads and Buildings, Jugal Kishore DFO, Mahesh Abrol, Satish Kumar, Angraz Singh range officers and the officers of various other departments. During the programme the participants were made to understand about importance of Vigilance Awareness Week.
