Court’s order delivered on 30th November made us think that, “Why do we need to prove our patriotism?”, “Does, not standing during National Anthem makes us unpatriotic?”. Many instances of violence also took place, against the people who refused to stand during the National Anthem.
Of course, we definitely need to promote our spirit of patriotism but a public display of that spirit doesn’t reflect how patriotic you are.
Also, you yourself can witness even the people standing in the theatre are indulged in activities like talking to the person next to them or using their phone. So rather than disrespecting our National Anthem, we should discontinue it.
We can take either side on this issue that whether National Anthem should be made mandatory in cinema halls or not, but to know what decision SC will take, we will have to wait until January 9, 2018 which is when the case will be heard next.
