Vigilance Awareness Week begins at Income Tax Department

JAMMU: Income Tax Department Jammu under the guidance of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J and K, Jammu, R.N Sahay organised Vigilance Awareness Week with the school children of Jodha Mal Public School.
S.K Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu, flanked by Ruveda Salam, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu organised an interactive session with the students and teachers of the school.
Students have been made to understand about importance of vigilance and how it can be observed in walks of life. The speakers emphasised on the need for preventive vigilance and also made the teacher and children aware of the existing measures that can bring about this from the grass root level. Sharma gave the students enlightening prospective on observing within ourselves. The session began with a viewpoint of the students as the Head Girl, Manasvini Oswal and Deputy Head Girl, Nimisha Shukla both presented their views on ‘My Vision- Corruption Free India’ where both of them focused on the ill effects of corruption and its impact on student life and how they wish for the same to be eradicated.
Principal, Trilok Singh Bist presented vote of thanks. Both the guest speakers and the Income Tax Officer, M.B Raizada were presented with the token of appreciation by Vikrant Kuthiala, Trustee Jodhamal Public School. The session ended with a pledge of integrity that the students took in order to initiate the process of corruption eradication.
