Young literati can bring desired changes in society: Prof Aima

JAMMU: On the second day of three-day Yuva Lekhak Seminar the literature being written in Hindi of Jammu and Kashmir State was discussed in detail by the young scholars on Tuesday here at K.L Saigal Hall.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu was the Chief Guest.
Prof. Parvinder Kaur, HoD PG Department of Hindi, University of Jammu presided while Dr. Parshotam Kaumar, Asst. Prof. Department of Hindi, University of Jammu and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretay, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) were also present in the presidium.
Prof. Ashok Aima hoped that the young participation in this 3-day Yuva Lekhak Seminar will help a lot to lead the society through their writings, symbolising the solutions and challenges being faced by the society in this fast changing world.
Dr. Rattan Basotra, Editor Dogri conducted the proceedings in a befitting manner and S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Punjabi presented vote of thanks while Prof. Parvinder Kaur, H.O.D, P.G Department of Hindi, University of Jammu delivered her Presidential Address.
Prof P.N Trishal, renowned Hindi writer, scholar and intellectual presided the first paper session and Dr Baljit Raina, eminent Punjabi and Hindi writer presided the concluding session.
The scholars who presented their papers were- Prof. Nardeep Kaur, Ravi Kumar, Suresh Kumari, Jyoti Rani, Bhagwati Devi, Pooja Sharma, Chanchal Kumar, Jyotsna Slathia, Esha Verma, Nivedita, Shallu Jamoria, Jaswinder Singh and Naresh Sharma.
Among others those present included Khalid Hussain, Dr Baljit Raina, Jang S Varman, TS Premi, Kuldip Sharma, Ashok Gupta, Dr Ashok Kumar, Chandu Bhau, Dr Pawan Khajuria, students and scholars from the departments of Hindi, Dogri and Punjabi and eminent citizens.
