NGAGA delegation meets Agriculture Minister

JAMMU: The Executive of Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduates Association (NGAGA) under the chairmanship of its President Rajesh Langer on Monday called on Minister for Agriculture Gulam Nabi Lone Hanjura in presence of H.K Razdhan Director Agriculture Jammu and presented him a ‘Vision Document’.
The association thanked the minister for making the department more vibrant and boosting the morale of the cadre.
It was stressed that Junior Agri. Ext Officers are working on same positions for last 28 years and subsequently attained no promotions whereas their Kashmir counterparts are working on two higher ups, even the cadre of 2006 has been promoted to next grades.
He further said that JAEOs were periodically appointed by the competent authorities as per service rules and after rendering 28 years of services are starving hard to be promoted to next grades under posts laying vacant.
Rajesh further submitted a document for pay anomalies expressing that neither the medicines nor the veterinarians who were at par with Agri graduates and were admitted in courses after passing the same professional examination have been degraded.
He also demanded regularisation of VAEAs who are working at Panchayat levels and redressal of their general grievances.
Reorganisation of the department and providing of better working conditions and infrastructures were important issues discussed by the organisation for root level worker of the department.
The minister gave a patient hearing and committed that long pending and genuine demands shall be redressed at the earliest.
