POONCH: The student organization and various youth leaders strongly criticized the constructing agency and the administration which failed to complete the Indoor Stadium Poonch for the last more than a decade.
The Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Nishu Gupta, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) leader Amit Gupta and Bhopinder Singh said that the Government which sanctioned, started and left the project incomplete for such a long period has failed to check back the blockage of huge amount of funds for decades. The constructing agency forgot to check the date of commencement of the project, its date of completion and meet the requirement of users, they said adding that this has not only involved the contractual complications and arbitrations but have also wasted the talent of youths for decades.
The leaders fear a conspiracy in non-completion of the project and demanded a proper inquiry by Vigilance to bring out the fair use of the funds and overall loss suffered due to inordinate delay in its completion.
