JAMMU: The Academic Council of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) organised a meeting in its Administrative Block here on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Incharge Vice Chancellor, Prof. Devanand and was attended by Prof. A. Rashid Trag, Prof. Riyaz Punjabi, Prof. R.N.K Bamezai, Prof. R.J Hans Gill, Dr. M.P Narayanan, Prof. Chandramouli Upadhyay, Prof. Champa Sharma, Prof. Pothini Krishna Prasad, Prof. P.V Sivapullaiah, Prof. H.N Jagannatha Reddy, Dr. Palpu Pushpaganandan, Dr. Tondup Tsewang, Prof. Ajay Kumar Mittal and Prof. Chetan Singh.
The Vice Chancellor briefed about various academic and administrative initiatives taken by the University since the last meeting of the Academic Council. Among other items, the Academic Council, deliberated upon and resolved opening of new schools and departments and starting of part time Ph.D and Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D Programme by the University during the Academic Session 2015-16 and 2016-17.
