JAMMU: The KC Public School (KCPS) and Jodhamal Public School bagged the senior boys and junior boys team championships respectively in the 11 Sports Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament held under the banner of J&K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
In the senior boys final, KCPS defeated National Academy Udhampur 3-1 while for junior boys title, Jodhamal School trounced their opponent from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 3-1.
Meanwhile, in individual events, Saksham Verma defeated Hanumat Sharma 3-1 (11-08, 09-11, 11-09, 12-10) in senior boys singles. Semifinals: Saksham beat Mahi Kailu 3-0 and Hanumat beat Ojaswin 3-0. The senior girls’ singles title went to Mehak, who beat Vidushi 3-0. Semifinals: Mehak trounced Nandika 3-1 and Vidushi defeated Ishita 3-0.
Similarly, in junior girls’ title clash, Iknoor trounced Ragini 3-1. Semifinals: Iknoor bt Ragini 3-0 and Divyani bt Gouri 3-0.
