Charak hails Azad for taking up issue of border residents
BISHNAH: Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and former Member CWC-AICC appreciated Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Opposition (Rajya Sabha) for taking up the issue of border people with the Union and the State Governments after his visit and meetings with the people of the border villages of Arnia and Suchetgarh.
Charak also welcomed the initiative of Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister in which he has also shown his concern for these border villagers. He further urged upon the Union Government of India especially the Union Defence and Home Ministers to immediately visit these border villages and provide a permanent solution to the miseries of these people living near border.
He appealed to the Union Government to give a nod to the proposal put forth by the delegation before the then UPA Government. The timely steps if taken in right direction will surely put an end to the woes of the people of this border belt of Tehsils Arnia and R. S Pura.
