JKPS Panjtirthi organises psychological counselling session

JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi on Friday organised a psychological counselling session wherein parents of those children were invited who required some psychological treatment so as to inculcate certain required qualities and values among them so that their grasping power becomes better, they can harness their potential and they can come out of shyness and fear.
Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah, who has done her Masters in Child Psychology from Lady Irwin College, Delhi, took up the counselling session of the desired parents.
The aim of the counselling session was to make the Jakians bold and creative to identify their own potentials.
Parents were also educated and guided as to how they should be handling their children to get the best out of them in all spheres whether it is discipline, academics, games and their behaviour both at home and school should be monitored.
Each parent was dealt individually. The principal spoke to them at length so as to make them comfortable with their children and help them to overcome the problems which they are facing with their them. Parents were also acquainted about the ways and techniques to explore their children’s talent and skills. The parents felt relaxed, stress free after the counselling session. They were determined and clear as to how they have to go about with the problems of their children without punishing and burdening them and how to extract the best out of their children.
