JAMMU: A joint delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J and K led by Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC/SKF met Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation, Relief Organisation (M) Jammu and apprised him of the problems being faced by the Jagti migrants.
The delegation apprised Commissioner Relief Organisation (M) about the development of cracks in different residential blocks and quarters in Jagti Township; leakages in different residential quarters in sanitary and drainage system; acute shortage of potable water, revival of RBA Certificates to the deserving migrants’ youth; lack of infrastructures, equipments and medicines in 40 bedded hospital at Jagti; enhancement of cash assistance relief ; implementation of Prime Minister’s employment package ; grant of employment to atleast one educated youth of each migrant family; issuance of ration cards to the registered migrants; police recruitment drive in Jagti Migrant township; release of encroachments of migrants properties as well as encroachments made on the religious places and shrines in Kashmir Valley, etc.
The commissioner gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that the demands putforth by the delegation shall be taken up with government for early redressal of the suffering of the community.
The deputation comprised of Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Kashi Nath Bhat, R.K Raina, Inder Ji Labroo and Raj Kumar Bhat.
